Junior Interclub Events
Junior Interclub events are half day competitions for Grades 7-15. There are six Interclub events spread out over summer and these are all held at Newtown Park. It’s a great opportunity for young athletes to test themselves against athletes from other clubs, and make new friends along the way. For most athletes the competitive season ends with the Wellington Championships at Newtown Park in March.
Points are awarded for being placed in an event, and at the end of the season, trophies are awarded to those with the most points in each age group. There is also a cup awarded to the club with the most interclub points. LHACC was awarded the cups last seasons – huge achievement.

3 March Wgtn Junior Club Champs Day 1* Newtown Park
10 March Wgtn Junior Club Champs Day 2* Newtown Park
*There is a charge per event that your child is entered into for Wellington Junior Champs. Postponement day will be TBA
Junior Interclub meets this season, you must purchase a season entry ticket. The price is $20, reducing to $14 if you enter after Christmas (there are four meets in 2023, and two meets in the New Year.

Entries on the day will not be accepted. If athletes turn up who are not entered, they can still compete but their results will be against "Unknown athlete". This is disappointing for all involved, and we want to avoid this.
