LHAAC Development Pathway
To help Lower Hutt Amateur Athletics Club (LHAAC) grow in line with other sports clubs in the Wellington region, we are introducing a new Development Pathway for the 2025/26 season for 7–14 year old athletes. This programme goes beyond our regular club nights, providing accessible structured opportunities for athletes who want to further their skills in either track or throws.
Track Pathway
When: Fridays, 4:30–5:30pm at the Hutt Recreation Ground commencing 10 October 2025
Coach: Personalised coaching from LHAAC coach Owen Westerhout
Cost: $75 (GST incl.) for an 18-week programme, to be paid on registration, starting on 10 October 2025
Throwing Pathway
When: Fridays, 5:30–6:30pm at the Hutt Recreation Ground commencing 24 October 2025
Coaches: Expert support from Sola Power’s experienced coaches and athletes
Cost: Free for 2025/26 for an 18-week programme
Where your fees go
LHAAC registration fee includes a levy from both of our governing bodies - Athletics Wellington and Athletics New Zealand, as well as a LHAAC membership fee.
Our membership fee goes directly back into the club to pay for the running of our club. The primary costs for our club are the use of the Hutt Recreation Ground, the purchase of athletics equipment, the running of club events, and funding our Club Night Coordinator and junior coaches to run club nights. We may also also support our leading athletes from time to time, through a small donation to support those selected to represent Wellington or New Zealand at meets. We think it’s important to support our top athletes in this way.
Lower Hutt Amateur Athletics Club is an incorporated society and copies of our financial statements can be found on the Incorporated Societies website.
