Tū Rangatahi

The Tū Rangatahi programme vision is to enable and empower our Rangatahi to be courageous and believe in their ability to reach their potential. The programme is designed to empower and enable the growth/development of the following attributes/ways of being within each young person: 

Cultural Identity: Rangatahi know who they are and where they come from.

Leadership: Rangatahi are positive influencers with positive future outcomes.

Safety: Rangatahi are nurtured and empowered to be who they are and reach their potential.

Positive Relationships: Rangatahi Build positive relationships and demonstrate positive connections to their whānau, Hapū, Iwi, School and Community.

Central to the programme is the Tuakana Teina relationship. The programme will focus on growth and will use a Progressions framework that measures this growth and also guides the movement of rangatahi through the Tuakana Teina relationship. Tu Rangatahi works in partnership with our Iwi and other local agencies.
