Learning to Umpire Module
There are changes uderway with the Learning and Development (L&D) platform. Netball NZ will be moving the L&D platform from Bracken to Sport Tutor.
There will be a gap between closing down Bracken and igniting Sport Tutor. The use of Bracken will finish on 7 December 2020 and NNZ hopes to have Sport Tutor live in late January 2021.
All current Bracken users will be contacted directly and all of their work/acknowledgment of what they have completed will be transferred.
The information below applied to 2020, we are awaiting updated information.
NNZ has a Learning to Umpire Module for New Umpires and Player Umpires which replaces the Netball New Zealand Centre Theory test. This module is the first step towards the Centre Umpire Award or a pre-requisite for some Centres for Player Umpires.
The Module helps New and Player Umpires understand some of the rules of netball as well as some practical techniques to enhance their umpiring.
This module requires registering on the NNZ Learning & Development Platform which can be accessed here;
https://netballnz.brackenlearning.com/
Please ensure you enter the join code ‘umpire’ when you register.
More information on the test can be found in this document; How to register and access the New and Player Umpire Module
