Bog Roy station is located in the Waitaki District of the South Island both surrounded by rugged peaks and beautiful lakes.
Bog Roy Station : owned and run by Dave "Gundy" and his wife Lisa, Bog Roy Station is a hill country property located on the shores of Lake Benmore, near Omarama running merino sheep and hereford cattle. Dave Anderson is the fourth Anderson generation to take on the high country run. Gundy's great grandfather - John Anderson, purchased Bog Roy, along with 3 other properties, in 1919. It has been farmed by the family ever since.
Distance/area for both the trek and MTB sections tba
Rostriever Station, located next to Bogroy station will also be part of the course.
Remember, teams choose what section they do first, one MTB leg followed by the trek section followed by the other MTB leg, OR do the run followed by all the MTB....your choice...there is no set rule. Not all teams will be able to get all checkpoints in the 12hrs so teams will need to choose their route wisely so they are back at the finish in time. Teams can also choose to only do part of the trek section or MTB sections and the longer you stay in transition the shorter time you have out on the course. Further clarification will be provided on the day.
Post event (from 6.30-7pm ish), hot food will be served by the PTA of Omarama School and will consist of hot soup/roll, lasagne and quiche (vege) so remember to bring your cup/plate/spoon etc.
