Interclub  SquadMatch-play coaching, skill development, and club culture building for Wainuiomata Tennis Club interclub players.

The 4:00 – 5:00 pm session for 7-9 year-olds and the 5:00 – 6:00 pm session for 10-13 year-olds are for juniors who are either not yet playing interclub. These sessions will cover all of the fundamental tennis skills including technique, tactics, how to rally, how to play points, and how to score. The sessions are delivered in a very enjoyable games-based approach and are designed to instil a love of the game, and the skills required to play tennis with family and friends, and progress to representing Wainuiomata TC in interclub and tournaments (for those keen to take their tennis further).

The Interclub Squad is for all established Wainuiomata TC Junior Interclub Players. These sessions will include a technical development component but focus primarily on rally skills, serving, tactics, court positioning, how to win points, and working as a team on the doubles court. I would like your support to build additional tennis development activity into this programme including ladder matches, the squad going to tournaments together (for those keen/interested), encouraging juniors to hit with each other, and maintaining a positive and supportive club culture throughout our group of coaches, players, and families.
