PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Play equally hard for yourself and your team.  Your team’s performance will benefit, so will you.
  • Treat all players as you would like to be treated.  Do not bully or take unfair advantage of another player.
  • Control your temper, any verbal abuse or deliberate contact to an official or another player is not acceptable under any circumstance.  Abusive behaviour is unacceptable.​
  • Play according to the rules of netball and the principles of fair play.
  • Never argue with an umpire.  If you are concerned, talk to your coach or captain during a break or after the game.
  • Be a good sport, cheer all good play from both your team and the opposition.
  • Appreciate and co-operate with your coach, team mates and officials.  There would be no game without them.
  • Take responsibility for your performance on and off the court.
  • Wear your uniform correctly at all times on game days.  Ensure you are ready for training with appropriate sports gear and shoes.  Hair must be up and off the face, nails short, with all jewellery, piercings removed before the game/practice.
  • Be punctual and attend all practices and games. You have made a commitment for the entire season.  ​If you are unable to attend any game or practice you must notify your manager/coach as soon as possible.
  • Respect the decisions of the coach.  Discuss any concerns privately away from the game with coach and/or manager.
  • If you have a concern and you feel you are unable to discuss this with your coach or manager please approach the junior or senior delegate and the committee with your concerns in writing.  The committee will acknowledge your concern within 1 week and respond to you in a timely matter.  NB: the committee usually meets monthly.  If of an urgent matter a special meeting will be held
