Coaches / Managers

Coaching and managing our junior teams are the most important roles in our club. Please get in touch if you may be interested in one of these roles.

Coaching

You'll make a great coach if you're fun, have a positive and supportive attitude, and are able to teach good team spirit. You don’t have to have played netball yourself to coach. However, we do ask that you attend each game on Saturdays, plus for those coaching teams yr3-yr6, you’ll also need to provide one training session per week.

Managing

You'll make a great manager if you're a good communicator and have a can-do attitude. Some of the tasks you’ll be asked to help with are communicating with parents and the club, signing in players before games, scoring if asked, assisting with subbing players and other general support to the coach. We ask that you attend the game each Saturday, however you do not need to attend trainings.

How we help

If you’re coaching or managing one of our teams, we’re here to help you along the way. That means we’ll be in touch regularly to make sure you have what you need and support you where we can.

Before and throughout the season we’ll provide you with resources from the FutureFERNS programme, invite you to a training session and give you regular updates for all you need to know.

Luckily for us, FutureFERNS have developed resources for coaches once you sign into their coaching portal. So the planning is done for you, with week-by-week guidance around skills, drills and activities to run.
