FUNDING FOR REPRESENTATIVE SWIMMERS

If you are lucky enough to reach levels of competition in which you represent Southland at away competitions, Waverley will help you get there. 
To redeem any funding we do require that families are active participants in Waverley and/or swimming.

REQUIREMENTS FOR RECEIVING FUNDING:
1. It must be a provincial representative meet.

2. Swimmer must have qualified for, and be competing in, a minimum of 3 events.

3. Swimmer must have been a fully paid member of Waverley Swimming Club for a minimum of 12 months.

4. Child or family must ‘give back’ to the club and/or swimming by meeting at least THREE of the below requirements:

(FOR MINIMUM 12 MONTHS)

  • Be a Swimming Official
  • Regularly volunteer at local meets
  • Member of the WSC Committee
  • Member on the SS Board
  • Coaching Club night - parent or child
  • Be on roster for attendence desk on club night for the year that your child is actively swimming
  • Regularly managing at swim meets
  • Key organiser of the 2 annual club fundraisers.

FUNDING AMOUNTS (reimbursed to swimmers):

Category A:

Nags - NZ Opens - NZ Short Course
RECEIVE:

  • 50% Of Meet Costs
  • $200 towards travel if travelling beyond Southland/Otago

Category B:

DIV II
RECEIVE:

  • 40% Of Meet Costs
  • $200 towards travel if travelling beyond Southland/Otago

Category C:

South Island Short Course - South Island Long Course
RECEIVE:

  • 30% Of Meet Costs
  • $200 towards travel if travelling beyond Southland/Otago
