Glenys - Gail - Marilyn - Jennifer

'The Pasco Girls' - Glenys, Gail, Marilyn and Jennifer first emerged  on the swimming scene in 1965. The girls were competent in all strokes and dominated the girls swimming in Southland for a number of years.
They all broke Southland records. Seldom in the late 1960's was there a meet when one or more of the girls broke Southland Records.
Each represented Southland at Teleprinter with Glenys, Marilyn and Jennifer placed Nationally.
In 1969, Glenys was named 'Southland Swimmer Of The Year' and was in the top 10 swimmers in her main event in NZ.
Jennifer at the age of 10, won 2 NZ Titles at Teleprinter in the 110 Yards Freestyle and 110 Yards Backstroke. Jennifer also won medals in age group meets, NZ Open Champs and NZ WInter Champs.
In 1973, went on to represent NZ at the Australian Winter Champs. Over the years, Jennifer broke several NZ Junior Short Course Freestyle Records.
There were also 3 boys in the family, the oldest, Ken, swam in his younger years. The 2 youngest members of the family, Bruce and Trevor, both Southland Record breakers with Bruce being a 'Southland Wizz Kid' from the early 1970's.
