PAUL WEATHERBURN

Paul was a top Waverley Swimmer in the late 1960's - a Breaststroke specialist - Paul and fellow swimmer Brian Sherborne had some close races - one being at Teleprinter in 1966 with Paul winning by 3/10s of a second, to take out 1st place at this National Meet.
Paul broke several Southland Breaststroke records and won Southland titles but retired from competitive swimming at 14.

BRIAN SHERBORNE

Brian was proficient in Breaststroke - at the Teleprinter in 1966 - in the 110 Yards of Breaststroke - Brian finished a close 2nd to Paul.
Giving Waverley an amazing 1st and 2nd placing at a National Meet.
He then went on to take the title for the next 2 Years. 
Brian then went on to break several Southland Breaststroke records and represented Southland at the NZ Age Group and Open Nz Champs - winning Age Group Medals.
In 1970, Brian was named in the Top 10 Breaststrokers in the country.

STEPHEN ROBERTSON

Stephen was a Backtroke Specialist - he attended Teleprint - Age Group Meets - NZ Open Champs and held Southland Backstroke Records.
In 1968 - Stephen won the National Title on U14 110 Yards Backstroke at the Teleprinter in Christchurch.
