Code of Conduct

As part of being a member of the WCRC, certain standards are expected of boys and their parents. The WCRC is a great club to be a part of and offers boys and their parents the chance to be involved in a fantastic sport.  With this comes a responsibility to agree to meet certain standards of behaviour out of respect for fellow members, volunteer coaches, committee members and parent helpers.

At the start of the season boys must sign the WCRC code of conduct (as well as the Star BC code of conduct) and parents must sign a code of conduct as well.

  • Star BC Code of Conduct - Athletes
  • WCRC Code of Conduct - Athletes
  • WCRC Code of Conduct - Parents

WCRC has  an Escalation Process to give clarity to the WCRC community regarding the process that will be used by the WCRC coaching team and committee concerning behaviour that is contrary to the codes of conduct.

  • WCRC Escalation Process

The codes of conduct and the escalation process are in place to ensure that all conduct respects the dignity of fellow members, volunteer coaches, committee members and parent helpers, enhancing all athlete's performance and their enjoyment of rowing and will not bring WCRC, Wellington College or Star BC into disrepute at any time.
