Featherston is a small town at the Gateway to the Wairarapa which is North of Wellington, over the Remutaka Hill.  The population is approximately 2,500, it consists of 3 Schools; Featherston Primary School, Saint Teresa's and South Featherston School.  There is the famous C'est Cheese Store, which has become very popular.  Featherston has a few restaurants/cafes The Royal Hotel, Everest Cafe, C'est Cheese, Brac & Bow, Loco Books & Coffee and many other small businesses who are absolutley fantastic.  Stop in and shop at Mr Feathers Den, Solace Crystals, The Dickensonian Bookshop, Totem, Hey Jude and off course our supermarket Supervalue.

Featherston is situated in the valley and is well known for the Railway, we have the Fell Museum and it is very popular with tourists and visitors throughout.  There is also the Remutaka Incline, where people run, walk and cycle.  This trail is used annually for competitions and fun runs.

The Featherston Netball Club has been running since the 1960's and during the 1970's and 1980's it was considered one of the biggest Netball Clubs in the Southern Wairarapa.  It has been on and off during the mid 2,000's to date.

In 2017 and 2018, the club was running but still not a lot of members.  This year 2019, we have an increase in numbers and we have changed our approach to be a more united, friendly and welcoming.

With all the support we have received from our community and wider, it has been an amazing journey.  This year we have had an extremely high number of support from the likes of the ANZ Courtside Gear Grant and a wonderful bunch of businesses who have donated to the Featherston Netball Club.

The Junior Club was playing under Southern Netball Club, which is run by Kim Whiteman and thanks to these lovely ladies our juniors did fantastic with all their support.

In 2020 we managed to bring back our junior teams for the future of the club.  The juniors is the foundation of the Featherston Netball Club.

Featherston Netball Club is always fundraising to support our juniors, and senior members with subscriptions, gear, training facility costs and we will continue to grow.

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SUPPORTERS AND TO THE WONDERFUL BUSINESSES AND PEOPLE WHO DONATE TO ENSURE THAT OUR YOUTH ARE ABLE TO PLAY NETBALL, THE GAME THEY ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT.
