These are the 40th Anniversary of the Colgate Games.All 1st,2nd & 3rd placings in all age groups will receive a medal.There are to be approx 2000 athletes competing in these games. If you want to be part of the Wairoa team please let Donna know ASAP.Entries close 28th November 2017

Yous all represented our Wairoa Athletics Club with pride and gave it your all.
The Competition at this level is of International Standards.80 North Island Clubs,8 South Island Clubs and a team from Tahiti represented at this meet at Kesington sports park on the 10th-12th January 2014 Whangarei.
To all of their Whanau who made it possible for them to be at the games Thank yous very much without yous these children would have never experienced this high level of Athletics in New Zealand.
To all our Club members that would have liked to have gone but were unable to go there is aColgate Games annually with next years games been held in Newtown Wellington from the 9th-11th January 2015.
If you are thinking of going to next years Colgate Games in Wellington and you dont have family down there you will need to start looking for accomodation now as it gets booked out quite fast during the Colgate Games.

North Island Colgate Games
The most prestigious annual Track & Field competition for registered athletes Grades 7 - 14, is the North Island Colgate Games. This is an event that attracts over 1000 athletes, with the regalia of Opening and Medal Ceremony's.
Grades 7 - 9 compete in "Divisions" and gain placings within their Division, whilst the Grade 10 -14 progress from heats, semi's, and Finals to the Medal Dais.
The Colgate Games event is always held early January every year, and the venue rotates through 7 different Center's in the North Island.
