To say Ben is a busy man would be an understatement. The fact that his own Karting commitments are juggled alongside his role as Vice President and Competition Director for the South Island Midget Car Association allude to this. If he's not running around behind the scenes at a dirt track somewhere, he may just be lucky enough to find some seat time for himself. Suffice to say, he lives and breathes racing. 

It's also probably safe to say no one has lived the racing highs and lows like the elder Crowe brother; A terrifying crash at the the Moore Park Autumn Dust-Off event, followed by an unrelated hand injury left the Christchurch tiler with a long period of recuperation and rebuild, for both Kart and body. Crowe's eventual return to competition almost a year on at Greymouth saw a reversal of fortunes, as he drove away with two thirds and a win to mark his first visit to Greenstone Park. To date, Crowe's biggest result has been a second place finish in the North versus South Main event at Huntly, a track at which he also holds the Rotax lap record. 

On race days, its not uncommon to see Ben and brother Matt generally handling things together out of the same pit. Ben is grateful for the support of partner Tracey, the extended Team Crowe family, Team Crowe Tiling, Moxy's Workshop and the South Island Midget Car Association.
