Sherif Abdelwahab
Sherif is 58 years old from Providence, RI. He started playing croquet at the age of 10 and is the current US GC National champion, and has won 17 National titles and 8 consecutive doubles titles. Sherif has represented the USA in 10 GC world championships and two GC world team tournaments. His other favourite sport is squash.
Danny Huneycutt
Danny has won nine National Championships in singles and doubles (winning in all three versions of croquet). He was the captain of the USA MacRob Team. Danny has developed many training curriculums at numerous clubs. He is one of six National Level Referees and has been Tournament Director and Tournament Manager of numerous National Championships. He has directed many of the top invitational tournaments in North America, such as West Hampton NY, The Meadow Club NY, Pinehurst NC, Green Gables NJ, The Merion Cricket Club PA, as well as at The Beach Club FL. Most recently, Danny has been associated with Pinehurst LLC (Pinehurst, NC) and John’s Island Club (Vero Beach, FL).
David Maloof
David has been a tennis coach for the past 45 years and croquet became a second career on the international stage about 6 years ago. He won the silver medal in the 2016 AC World Championships. He and his wife Mieke reside in Lake Wales FL in the winter and in Linville NC in the summer.
Ben Rothman
Ben was born in 1983 and was taught croquet by his uncle Larry. Together they won the Club Teams National Championship and Ben won 20 US National Championships in singles and doubles. Ben was runner up in the 2009 AC World Championships, won the British Opens doubles twice and in 2016 he became the first American to win the British Open singles. In 2019 Ben won the WCF Golf Croquet World Championship. Ben has been a member of the US Croquet team since 2008. Ben and his wife, Cody, married in NZ during the 2014 MacRobertson Shield and live in Oakland CA with their 3-year-old daughter, Leonora.
Jeff Soo (Reserve)
Jeff, born in 1964 and involved in croquet for 25 years, works as a croquet coach. His main club is Stoneridge, NC, and he has won 20 assorted US championships. Jeff has had a major role in the US MacRob team, Solomon Trophy, Carter Challenge, and WCF AC World Championship. He has contributed to USCA administration and managed many US national championships. He is married and enjoys music and photography.
