Croquet Nelson is formed of three local clubs, Richmond, Riwaka and Nelson Hinemoa, and it is our largest club, Nelson Hinemoa, which has been chosen as the venue for the WCF Golf Croquet World Team Championship Tier 1 for 2020. We are honoured to be holding this prestigious event and we are looking forward to meeting players, supporters, managers, officials and all our visitors next January.

Nelson Hinemoa Croquet Club is a thriving club in the heart of Nelson. It has a very healthy membership of over 90 members and is recognised as a forward-looking club. Both association and golf croquet prosper, with club days for social play through the week.

Since 1946, events have been staged by the Nelson Association (now known as Croquet Nelson). From the South Island Championships that year, there have subsequently been many successful tournaments, including the New Zealand Open Championships in 2000, the Golf Croquet Trans-Tasman Trophy in 2015, CNZ Association Croquet Invitation Events 2016, and the CNZ GC Nationals in 2017 and 2019.

By hosting local, national and international events, Croquet Nelson is keen to promote the game of croquet at all levels. Visitors are made very welcome at all of the three clubs.
