Umpire coaches play an important role in supporting the development, confidence and progression
of umpires at Howick Pakuranga Netball Centre.

Our umpire coaches work alongside umpires of all ages and experience levels, providing encouragement,
practical feedback and guidance to help them improve their skills and understanding of the game.

Observe

Watch umpires during games and identify areas for development.

Support

Provide positive and constructive feedback.

Interested in Becoming an Umpire Coach?

You do not need to be a current umpire to become involved in umpire coaching. Former umpires,
experienced officials and people with a strong understanding of netball are encouraged to consider supporting this
important area of the game.

HPNC provides opportunities for training, mentoring and practical experience. Umpire coaching is a
rewarding way to stay involved in netball while helping develop the next generation of officials.

Umpire Convenor or contat your club. 

We welcome umpires at every stage of their journey, from those taking the court for the first time
through to experienced officals working towards higher qualifications.
