BOATS

The ORC has a fleet of boats, our racing boats are in our Twizel Shed while the harbour holds our training fleet, these also include several coach boats. Over $500,000 replacement value in our sheds

The ORC currently owns 25 boats, 80+ oars, 3 safety boats, 12 Rowing Machines, Various gym equipment, two trailers plus a Twizel boatshed and Oamaru harbour gym/boatshed.

We have strict rules in place to maintain all plant. Please respect all the club equipment as it is the product of many years of work and fundraising.

RULES SURROUNDING BOAT USE:
Boat allocation at regattas is the sole responsibility of the coaches. As a rule, the best boats will go to the fastest crews or most experienced crews.

Rowers will not be allowed access to boats at either shed other than at organised training and regattas. Please contact Ivan Docherty or Shane Carter if you have any queries.
Every season we replace or renovate boats, and it is essential all rowers treat the equipment carefully and respectfully.
