Summer Traing Camp

Training Camp starts at the conclusion of the Canterbury Championship regatta, around 2pm on Sunday 19 January, and concludes Friday 24 January.

It is an intense week of training for our rowers with multiple training sessions per day either on Lake Ruataniwha or the nearly Kellands Ponds – we make use of the ponds to avoid speed boats and the rowing traffic from other clubs that can be on the Lake during the height of the summer rowing season.

Camp is an integral part of our training programme and the rowers love the social side of it as well, as it just keeps building on connections and camaraderie.

Camp is a wonderful chance for our rowing families to come along as house parents and get to know all our rowers, fellow parents/caregivers, and the coaching team better!
