Rowing is a demanding sport requiring discipline, commitment, integrity, and standards of behaviour of the highest level. Social media is an area rowers are expected to show special care and use responsibly.
Once you have committed to a boat or a regatta it is expected you will honour that commitment, and you will not let everyone down and pull out. You can’t row an eight with seven rowers! Rowers will strive for the long-term excellence, to achieve their personal best, and to assist in the success of their fellow rowers. Experience has shown us that negative comments by rowers towards other rowers are both hurtful for the rower and damaging for the club overall. All rowers are expected to get in the boats they are told and row as hard as they can. Coaches will try out various combinations for reasons a rower may not understand. The coaching staff fully understand we are all here to have fun, row well and win races.
