Papamoa Athletic Club: Cross Country, Road & Distance Running Group
Papamoa Athletic Club offers a Harriers Running Group for all ages from 9yrs+ through to Teens, Adults and Masters. Our programme caters for both casual runners keeping fit in a structured way, through to competitive Cross Country and Road Running athletes needing technical and program coaching.
Our season is from April-Sept with Group Runs on Saturdays 2:00pm at various locations and daily Club Training at 4pm, Mon to Fri in Te Puke & Pāpāmoa.
You can attend as many or few sessions as you can, with options 6 days per week primarily in Papamoa
Monday: 4pm time trial - Simpson Reserve
Tuesday: 4pm Fartletk - Gordon Spratt
Wednesday: 4pm long slow run - Gordon Spratt
Thursday: 4pm - Papamoa Hills
Friday: 4pm form training - Gordon Spratt
Saturday: 2pm cross country run (see CC schedule)

Our Specialist Middle & Distance Running Coach: Selwyn Mawkes, came back to Te Puke Harriers in 2012 and has run his distance running program through to 2025, before Te Puke Athletic Club joined with Papamoa Athletic Club in 2025.
Selwyn is a Registered, Accredited Athletics NZ coach, specializing in Middle - Long Distance. He also has done papers in health and other high end sports subjects, aiming to have the best environment for all the kids to be comfortable.
