Congratulations to Linda Dunn acknowledged at the recent Counties Manukau Sport Volunteer Awards.
Linda Dunn is one of the most thoughtful and considerate volunteers Papatoetoe Athletics Club has ever had. The support she offers not only club members but other committee members and volunteers throughout the years makes her a valuable member of the Papatoetoe community. Linda has worn several 'hats' during her time at Papatoetoe Athletics Club including parent helper, committee member, Treasurer and is one heck of an organiser particularly managing our 2-6yr old club members each club night - she is very impressive on the whistle!
Linda stepped up when needed most, in particular taking on the important role of Treasurer - after just joining the committee. Linda always has her finger on the pulse ensuring club matters and important tasks are not forgotten and is our go-to person at all club registration nights (which can be very hectic!) when volunteers are ever unsure. Linda is a loved and well respected by all our club members, and always has a happy cheery disposition and it is for these reasons our club felt she should be recognised for her volunteer work at our club.
