  • Individualised Learning: Our education system emphasises personalised learning, reducing pressure on students and allowing for tailored academic experiences.
  • Balanced Lifestyle: Shorter school days provide students with plenty of time to engage in various activities outside the classroom, including arts, culture, and sports, fostering lifelong friendships and essential life skills.
  • Optimal Class Sizes: With class sizes ranging from 20-32 students, teachers can establish strong learning relationships, focusing on understanding each student individually and providing necessary support. Students are encouraged to ask questions and discuss their learning with their peers.
  • Personalised Support: Regular feedback on students' learning progress is a standard practice. Teachers encourage the development of student agency, empowering them with skills for lifelong learning.
  • Holistic Development: Beyond academics, our education system is designed to help students build not only knowledge but also crucial life skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the future.

New Zealand Qualification - NCEA

What is NCEA? NCEA, or the National Certificate of Educational Achievement, is the primary qualification for senior secondary school students in New Zealand. It is offered at Levels 1, 2, and 3 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF).

Flexibility and Opportunities: The NCEA qualification offers students unparalleled flexibility. It allows them to tailor their educational journey by choosing subjects that align with their interests, while still working towards their University Entrance qualification. Whether it's dance, visual art, photography, food and nutrition, digital technology or drama, these diverse subjects contribute towards achieving University entrance requirements.

Varied Assessment Methods: NCEA employs a range of assessment methods to accommodate diverse learning needs. From traditional examinations to writing reports, conducting experiments, engaging in group work, building portfolios, and delivering performances, students experience a comprehensive evaluation that captures their unique skills and abilities.

Globally Recognised Pathways: NCEA is not just a qualification; it's a gateway to global opportunities. Recognised internationally, it opens pathways to prestigious universities worldwide. Whether students dream of pursuing higher education abroad or continuing their studies within New Zealand, NCEA equips them with the credentials and skills necessary for success in a variety of courses.

At our school, we celebrate the holistic development facilitated by NCEA, encouraging students to explore, excel, and embrace their potential on their educational journey.
