Science Teacher

Full-time, permanent position commencing at the beginning of the 2027 Academic Year

Palmerston North Girls' High School is seeking an inspiring and collaborative Science Teacher to join our well-resourced and high-performing department.

The successful candidate will be capable of teaching across various year levels. Please state your senior subject specialisms in your application; the ability to teach Physics and or Chemistry would be an advantage.

As a dedicated team player with interpersonal skills, you will be familiar with the junior science curriculum and NCEA assessment programmes. We are looking for an educator who can inspire and engage young women, fostering a passion for scientific inquiry. ​​​​​​​

Teacher in Charge of Biology - 2MU full time permanent

We are seeking an experienced Biology and Science teacher to join our team from the beginning of the 2027 academic year. They will be experienced in teachin biology and science and able to lead and develop an established biology team as well as support the science department and work collaboratively. They need to be familiar with current NCEA and assessment requirements and flexible to meet the changing assessment, curriculum and qualification requirements.

We have a well-resourced and well led science department and look forward to an experienced, collaborative and collegial teacher to assist in the strong leadership of this team with the specific oversight of biology and support and development of teachers of biology. Applicants must be team players and need to be NZ registered and show a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the values of our school.

Teacher of Social Sciences - Full Time, Permanent

We are seeking an inspiring and collaborative teacher of Social Sciences to join our school from the beginning of the 2027 academic year. Our Social Science department is a high-performing and well resourced team.  The successful applicant will be expected to teach junior social studies and a senior specialism; please state your specialist subject within Social Sciences. We currently offer junior and senior Social Studies, Geography, History, Classics, and Tourism. The ability to teach Geography could be an advantage.
