Waikanae Pony Club

Use of our grounds policy - terms and conditions

Waikanae PC has amazing grounds and facilities right in the middle of Waikanae.

We have a huge all-weather arena, a cross-country course (although not all of it is currently accessible), and our rally area. We also rent our clubrooms to other groups.

WPC financial members can use our facilities at Waikanae Park, including the arena and XC course, for free, but you MUST book by using our online booking app. You can apply for access to the booking calendar by emailing [email protected]

There is, however, a $5 fee if you use the grounds for a lesson.

For non-WPC members it is $15 per horse for casual use.

You must read these conditions before you use any of our facilities

  • Pony Club approved gear and helmets must be worn at all times while riding. Back protectors must be worn at all times on the cross country.

  • All riders must have another responsible person present while riding, for any jumping riders must have a supervisor on the grounds aged 21 or over. This is for your own safety.

  • The applicable ground levy must be paid prior to riding on Waikanae Grounds.

  • If jumps are in the arena, they can be used.

  • Please ensure you leave all jump poles off the ground when you leave.

  • Grazers may be on the cross-country course – It is the rider’s responsibility to avoid them.

  • Some cross country jumps will be fenced off. Please do not take these down.
