Heath and safety

At Waikanae Pony Club, we take health and safety seriously.

We have a dedicated Health and Safety Officer on our committee and first aiders at every rally or gathering.

Riders must wear a tagged helmet to ride in any rally or competition on our grounds. Tagging ensures that your helmet is appropriate and can protect your head.

We have members who can tag helmets, and as of 1 August 2023 you must have a yellow-tagged helmet (replacing the previous requirement to have a red-tagged helmet).

We recommend you come to our enrolment rally in August to get your helmet checked and tagged, ready for the season.

You can buy a yellow-tagable helmet from all good saddleries and retailers.
