Waikanae Pony Club

For parents

It is a requirement of WPC that you read and agree to comply with the NZPCA Code of Conduct and Fair Play Charter. We need families to help with the running our events during the season, as these are major fundraisers for our branch, as well as attend occasional working bees.

For health and safety reasons, all riders must have a nominated parent/caregiver with them at rallies. If you can’t stay, it is your responsibility to nominate another parent to be the point of contact for your child, and to make sure their coach knows who this person is.

All families on the Register of Members will be advised of Committee Meetings. These are held at WPC Clubrooms on the Third Wednesday of the month during the season, and as often as needed in the off season. You are encouraged to try and attend at least some of the meetings and to be involved in the running of our branch.

Waikanae Pony Club is run by volunteers, and if you have any issues with the running of the branch, please take this into consideration and take care to voice your concerns in a constructive way. If something is not running to your satisfaction, be prepared to get involved to help improve things for everyone.
