Pony club is FUN!. We think it's the BEST place for kids with ponies to improve their riding and equine knowledge!

At West Taieri Pony Club you will meet other young people who share a love of ponies and riding - making it a great place to make friends, share experiences and learn skills that will last a lifetime!

Pony Club offers lots of opportunities to do and try new things!

Our club caters for ALL levels and abilities - from pre-schoolers to compeditive senior riders. We are well known for our relaxed atmoshere -offering quality instruction and participation in team events. WTPC has a high ratio of boy riders and welcome riders with special challenges.

Our members don't have to regularly compete at shows, just share a love of ponies, learning and friendships.

WTPC has excellent facilities including a choice of cross country jumps, games equipment, show jumps, dressage arenas etc. Each year we embark on a popular overnight camp at Waitangi Weekend and squeeze in as many hacks / beach rides as possible.

Many of our riders compete regularly at shows but we happily welcome non-compeditive riders wanting to improve their riding and knowledge.

Our weekly rallies cover a variety of activities such as dressage, jumping, cross country, games hacking out and Horse Management. The WTPC coaching team will support you to improve your riding and equine skills. We help your parents too!

Families considering joining WTPC are welcome to attend 3 rallies before becoming a member (there is a small $5 charge per/rally which contributes toward your membership should you then join) This also covers any liability should something 'unexpected' occur!
