There are 3 main Eventing competitions involving WTPC teams, Springston Trophy, Southern Teams & The Oskam Shield. Each of these competitions cater to different levels of rider and horse ensuring that our members have the opportunity to be part of a team regardless of their level.

'Eventing' or 'Horse Trials' involves the conmbined scores of 3 discilines - dressage, show jumping and Cross Country. Essentually, most teams are made up of 6 riders - 2 Juniors (13 and under), 2 Intermediates (15 and under) & 2 Seniors (21 and under).

**Information about these events and how to become part of a team will be sent by email to all members**

Springston Trophy is a South Island wide championship competition held annually over the 1st weekend of October each year, coinciding with the middle weekend of school holidays. This years event is hosted by Taieri Districts and will be held in Middlemarch. Riders considering putting themselves forward for a Springston team placement should be confidently competing at their required height throughout the season prior to competition.
