How do I register to trial for the 2024 season?

Complete the online registration form on this page.  Registrations close Friday 26 April.  Please ensure you are available for ALL tournament dates before registering.  Follow the GNC Facebook page for further announcements. 

How do I qualify for representative trials?

The following explains the age criteria for all age groups to be considered for selection - 

U16 Age Group (Female) - - Must be under 16  on 1 January in the year in which they aim to represent.

U18 Age Group (Female) - - Must be under 18 on 1 January in the year in which they plan to represent.

Players must be secondary level and registered to GNC playing for a current school or club in the 2024 Pak N Save Competition.

GNC recommends players play in their age group. If you wish to seek dispensation to trial for a team outside your age group please email [email protected] for consideration.   Trialists must be registered to be considered for dispensation.  

What if I can't make the trial dates?

We encourage you to attend all trial dates so that you get the best chance to be seen.  If you are unable to attend any part of the selection process you may request a dispensation.  This must be received in writing to GNC  [email protected] stating your reasons why dispensation is being requested.  GNC will evaluate each dispensastion request on its own merits and in its sole discretion grant or disallow the dispensation request. 

Bereavements, injuries, illness, national or representatitive  netball/other sporting committments may be considered reasonable grounds for dispensation.  Requests for dispensation due to injury/illness must include a medical certificate.  The outcome of any dispensations will be communicated via email.  Trialists must be registered to be considered for dispensation.

What are the costs for the representative programme in 2024?

Fees vary between teams based on the number of tournaments they are registered for and the location of tournaments.  Tournaments requiring flights will incur a greater fee than those travelling by van.    Final costs will be communicated with successful applicants which can differ from the estimated costs due to the successful application of funding grants.  

When are trainings?

These are yet to be determined. GNC will provide a Rep Calendar before trials begin.  Please consider your availability and ability to commit to trainings before you register to trial.
