Tennis is a great summer sport, played in terms one and four. 

The regular Waikato Secondary Schools Teams Competition is held every Wednesday afternoon from approx 3.30 - 5pm during the tennis season. Teams consist of two players and one reserve, playing singles and doubles at the Lugton Park Tennis Centre (30 Old Farm Rd, Hamilton East, Hamilton 3216) and Schools within the Waikato region. 

Students serious about competing are encouraged to enter the Waikato Thames Valley SS Individual Champs held in March. There are three sections for this competition, with the cut-off date 31 March 19. Entries are limited to 4 player per school in Singles and 3 pairs per school in the Doubles for each section. A player may NOT enter both Singles and Doubles. All Waikato Representative players are elgibilie to compete, irrespective of entry limit.
