James would like to start by saying “thank you” to club members for allowing him the privilege and honour to lead the club as President. He says 2012 was a year that will be remembered by us all.

Firstly the celebration of the clubs 30th Anniversary, then the Tri Series which saw a Sports Club unite the Penrhyn Community.

We now look forward to the challenges of 2013 – 2014. The club’s success is predominantly linked to its current and upcoming members. So, he would like to reiterate the importance of registration fees and to encourage everyone to keep these up to date.

To wrap up the speech, he would like to reiterate that as the new Club President, “He intends to meet all expectations as a leader both within the club and Christian faith”.

And he ends with the following verse,

"Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be estabilished." Proverbs 16:3

Joel Marsters - 2009 - 23 April 2013

Joel is more often seen in action on the Rugby field and the Volleyball court representing the club competitively and has captained both A grade teams in the two sports; he has also represented the club in Darts and Touch, an all rounder when it comes to sports and leadership.

During his current term as President, Joel has always shown respect and deference towards others and always has the overall best interests of the club.  Joel has not only shown respect but has earned the respect from not only members, club patrons and supporters but also within the Penrhyn Community as a whole and has proven to be an influential and exemplary person in a field of endeavour.

Joel’s favourite saying is ‘I can do all this through him who gives me strength’ (Philippians 4:13), he quotes this verse to help motivate and inspire others; especially our children and youth to strive for leadership and set high goals in life to aspire to achieve them.
