John Taia was first elected President of the Penrhyn Sports Club Inc on the 16th of January 2014 and again on the 24th May 2016. He has been Treasurer for the Club from the 1st of April 2013 through to the 16th January 2014.
In that time, he has been involved in setting up and maintaining the official website for the Penrhyn Sports Club and making members aware of upcoming events, moving through each code to acquire information that would assist in problem solving.
John firmly believes that to have a successful club, you must first get its leaders right. Those leaders must be dedicated, committed and prepared to lead by example. As a Committee Member, the Club Oath is to “serve and support the Constitution of the Penrhyn Sports Club and perform all duties to the best of my ability, so help me God”.
John believes that with strong support from his committee and maintaining communication with members, anything is possible – even becoming President of a Sports Club!
His vision is to improve the overall experience for all of our children’s present and future.
