Club Coach Workshops

Coach Developers are available to run either informal Coaching sessions or CCA1 and CCA2 workshops at your Clubs in conjunction with your regular coach meetings or a team training. We have found that coaches find these sessions less intimidating as they are amongst their own club coaches, in familiar surroundings and able to limit the number of times they need to commit to netball during the week.

Welcome to Coaching- this is a workshop for coaches who are new to coaching and whose players are aged school year 7/8, high school or senior.

10am-12pm Sunday 30th March or 6pm-8pm Tuesday 1st April - Selwyn Netball Centre.

This course is 2 hours long.

Registration required 

Attack CCA1- 1pm-3pm Sunday 30th March 2025 - Selwyn Netball Centre - 2 hours

This is a practical coaching course for coaches coaching players school year 7 or older to learn how to coach the basic attacking skills

Prior to attending the practical session coaches will need to complete some online learning for CCA1 Attack on the NNZ online learning site Sports Tutor

Defence CCA1- 6-8pm Wednesday 2nd April 2025 - Selwyn Netball Centre - 2 hours

This is a practical coaching course for coaches coaching players school year 7 or older to learn how to coach the basic defending skills

Prior to attending the practical session coaches will need to complete some online learning for CCA1 Defence on the NNZ online learning site Sports Tutor

Shooting CCA1- 6-8pm Thursday 3rd April - Selwyn Netball Centre - 2 hours

This is a practical coaching course for coaches coaching players school year 7 or older to learn how to coach the basic shooting skills

Prior to attending the practical session coaches will need to complete some online learning for CCA1 Shooting on the NNZ online learning site Sports Tutor

Other courses Please also check the Christchurch, Mid Canterbury and North Canterbury Netball Centre websites for their course dates if you are wanting to complete any of these modules but are unable to attend on the advertised dates. They may also be running modules that we have not organised yet that you may be interested in.

Community Coach Awards

The new online learning Platform is now up and running.  Access to online learning and resources can now be found in Sport Tutor.  If you have not registered already in Sport Tutor please do so by following this link Click here - and note access is free.

Coaches on the NNZ Coaching Framework attend a set number of practical modules and complete online components to attain the various Community Coach Awards.

To complete the online CCA pre-requisites you go to the link above to register and gain access to the online learning components and resources.  Content on this site is continually evolving with further resources and content being added and updated.
