U18 Trials
Trialing for a representative netball team is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and compete at a higher level. During trials, selectors will observe and assess players based on their performance, including technical ability, game sense, teamwork, and attitude on and off the court. Players will participate in various drills and match play scenarios to demonstrate their strengths. After careful evaluation, selectors will choose the final squad based on their criteria, and successful players will be notified and invited to join the team. Once selected, players will commit to a structured training program, team-building activities, and tournaments to develop their skills further.
Trial one: Sunday 6th April - 10-12pm - Selwyn Sports Centre
Trial two: Sunday 13th April - 10-12pm - Selwyn Sports Centre
Our U18 team each year competes at the NNZ U18 National Championships in Auckland. This team requires a lot of time, dedication and commitment in order to prepare for such an amazing tournament.
To be eligible for our U18 team you need to be under the age of 18 on the 1 January 2025 etc If you turn 18 on 1 January or thereafter you will need register for our Open Senior team. You must also be registered and playing in a Selwyn Netball Centre club.
