Meet CERI - Selwyn Netball Centre's Champion! 

At Selwyn Netball Centre, our community thrives on the values that make our sport truly special: Community, Enjoyment, Respect, and Integrity. In the past, we’ve celebrated these values through four amazing individuals, each representing a single value.

But this year, we’re taking things to the next level! We believe that every one of our members has the potential to embody all our values – and that’s where CERI comes in!

Who is CERI?
CERI is our new ambassador and a symbol of everything we stand for at Selwyn Netball Centre. She’s a vibrant, energetic character who showcases the strength of bringing all our values together. Whether it’s teamwork on the court, supporting each other in our community, or playing with respect and integrity, CERI is here to remind us that we’re at our best when we live by all our values.

What does CERI represent?

  • Community: Coming together, supporting one another, and growing stronger as a team.

  • Enjoyment: Having fun, creating memories, and loving the game.

  • Respect: Valuing our teammates, opponents, and the spirit of netball.

  • Integrity: Always doing what’s right, both on and off the court.

CERI is more than just an image – she’s an inspiration for us all to strive to be better, together. Keep an eye out for her around the Centre and in our communications.

Nominate a CERI Champion - Volunteer Recognition! 

Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Every week, every project, every small act of service—they help build the kind of community we’re proud to be part of. That’s why we created the CERI Champion recognition program: to shine a light on those who embody the values that define us—Community, Enjoyment, Respect, and Integrity.

Do you know someone who brings joy to those around them? Someone who shows up with a kind word, a helping hand, or a quiet commitment to doing the right thing? Maybe they’ve led a team, supported a peer, or simply made the day better for others. Big or small, their impact matters—and we want to celebrate it.

Nominations are open to anyone in our community who’s witnessed a volunteer making a difference. It only takes a moment to lift someone up and say, “You’ve made an impact, and we see you.”

Each month, we honour volunteers across three levels—from Champion Shout-Outs to our CERI Champion of the Month. Winners receive prizes and public recognition, but most importantly, they feel appreciated for the heart they bring to our community.

Champion Shout-Out

Not every act of service needs to be big to make a big impact. Our Champion Shout-Outs celebrate the small but meaningful ways volunteers contribute to our community—whether it’s lending a hand, lifting spirits, or showing up when it counts. Each week, we feature our nominated volunteers on Facebook and gift them a coffee voucher as a small token of our big thanks

Rising Champion
(Monthly – 3 Winners)

Our Rising Champions are volunteers who consistently show our core CERI Values. Whether stepping up for a project or supporting others behind the scenes, they help power our mission forward. Each month, three Rising Champions are selected from all nominations and awarded $50 vouchers as a thank-you for their ongoing support and energy.

Vounteer of the month!

Each month, one outstanding volunteer is honored as our CERI Champion—a true example of dedication, leadership, and impact in our community. This recognition goes to someone who goes above and beyond in living out the CERI Values within our centre. To celebrate their incredible contributions, they’ll receive a $100 hamper and be featured across our platforms as a role model for others.
