Club Spotlight: Southbridge Team Building Session

"On Monday the 25th we went to training expecting the usual fitness and skills session at our combined training with the Southbridge senior B team, but instead our coaches Kath and Hayley had other plans. They surprised us with a team bonding night. For two teams that are normally very quiet, we sure made a lot of noise. So much our coaches had to yell to get our attention. It really helped with communication and began to develop stronger relationships with some of the girls in the B team that were coming through the club. We started with Fat Man Splat, which was a great way to improve our teamwork as it relies on everyone in the team to get involved and do their part. We then played the ever-popular Chocolate Game, which got a little competitive, especially for the A team but was still great fun. Lastly we finished up with the toilet paper game. We split into groups of 3-4 with each group having 3 rolls of toilet paper. We then had about 10 minutes to dress one person in the group up the best we could using nothing but toilet paper. Overall we really enjoyed our night, it was a great opportunity to have a laugh and come together as a team, not as individuals with the bonus of leaving happy with our chocolate-filled bellies."
