Junior Football 10th - 13th grade (eg kids turning 10,11,12 & 13 this year)
The junior players are placed into teams at the start of the season. These teams are generally coached by a volunteer parent. They will train on a weekday for around one hour and play games on Saturday mornings at locations throughout the Hutt Valley region.
For grades 10 and 11, seven players are allowed on the field at a time (including a goalkeeper). Teams usually have 9-10 players. Teams play two 25 minute games each Saturday (one after the other at the same venue). We like to have 2 to 3 subs for these teams.
For grades 12 and 13, nine players are allowed on the field at a time (including a goalkeeper). Teams usually have 11-12 players. Teams play one 50 minute game. U12s on Saturday and U13s on Sunday.
The time and location for each week’s game(s) is determined by a draw published by Capital Football, which can be found here.

Fees
The fees for 2026 season is $100.00 per child turning 10 & 11 this year.
The fees for 2026 season is $120.00 per child turning 12 & 13 the year.

Key dates
School Holiday's
Football runs on the first and last weekend of the school holidays, but we take a break for Easter weekend (if it falls during the season) and the middle weekend of the school holidays.
Coaching
Trainings are organised by the coach who is generally a parent, therefore if you feel you would like to volunteer we would love to hear from you. Please email the club for information:

Refereeing
Saturday games need to be refereed by a parent or other volunteer. Refereeing courses are available to those interested in upskilling.
Please be respectful at all times to the Referees, volunteers and most importantly the player's!
What gear is required to play footy!
Players need to have their own:
Plain black shorts.
Black football socks.
Football boots.
Shin pads.
These can be purchased at The Warehouse, KMart, Postie Plus, Rebel Sport & Football Central
