GIRL'S ONLY LEAGUES INFORMATION

Junior Girls football:

Junior girls have a few different options for playing football for Wainui:

• Girls-only league: We offer from age 9 to 12 girls teams who play on Sunday mornings. (If we receive enough interest from younger or older players the club will look into an 8th grade team and 14th grade team)

• Mixed football: girls play in teams with boys and girls. Girls can also play down a grade. 

• Mixed and Girls only: girls can select both mixed and girls-only meaning they play both Saturday and Sunday.

Information about girls only league:

All girls only teams play small-sided games on artificial turf around the Wellington region. These games are played on Sunday mornings.

COACHING:

We will be looking for parents and volunteers to take these teams with the help from the club and information from Capital football. If you are keen please email the club to let us know.

This year (2024) we are hoping there may be enough interest due to the amazing FIFA Women's World cup last year for us to be able to enter some teams in these grades.
