WAKA AMA TERM 1 & 4 2026 ​​​​​​​


Days, Location & Times: Cog Park Evans bay, Mon, Tues & Wed- 4pm–5Pm, until the 1st of December (Term 1).

Please remember to wear the appropriate gear for paddling: comfortable to swim in, quick-drying clothes and scuffs or jandles to protect your feet.

*Training on water will be weather dependant. it can be raining and we will still train but if the water has to much swell or is unsafe we will not train.

Transport: Students are responsible for their own transport to and from Cog Park. Teachers will release students at 3:00pm to allow time to walk or catch a bus.

Equipment & Safety: Life jackets and paddles will be provided. All students must wear the supplied safety equipment during every training session.

Swimming Requirement: Students must be able to swim 50 metres unaided to participate in Waka Ama. This rule is for safety reasons and is non-negotiable.
