Tauranga Rowing Club

Tauranga Rowing Club offers competitive school rowing. The main season runs during Terms 4 and 1 and throughout the summer break.  Off-season training is also offered in Terms 2 and 3.

An annual membership fee is payable by instalments which covers:

  • Use of the club facilities, equipment, and coaching resources for the club and school parts of the season
  • Boat transport to club regattas, associated athlete entry fees, and tent site
  • Affiliation/Registration fees with the local and national sporting bodies necessary for competing
  • Costs of attending the compulsory summer training camp in early January
  • Club t-shirt on joining the club

Training times vary depending on the stage of the season. Pre/after-school training in addition to Saturday mornings can be expected during the competitive season.

Tauranga Rowing Club boasts several members in the NZ National team, a NZ Umpire, and a representative coach.  We also have four members studying in the USA on rowing scholarships as part of the NZ International Pathway into the National Team.
