This area runs from the saddle at the top of Thompsons Track through to the junction of the North South, Te Tuhi and Ngamarama Tracks.

DOC has implemented a track closure on the Kauritatahi Hut Track that will be removed soon. The track can be used with caution - it is the roughest Kaimai tramping route.
