There are currently 5 trustees, but we are always keen to involve additional people who - like us - have a passion for ensuring the Kaimai backcountry is an encouraging place for a wide range of people to experience.
Roger Montgomerie
Roger is our chairperson. He lives in Tauranga and is president of the Kaimai Ramblers tramping group. He has been the driving force behing the upgrade that KRT has done to Te Rereatukahia Hut and the surrounding tracks.

Colin Forsyth
Colin is a member of NZDA Bay of Plenty, and worked with Stan closely on the Te Whare Okioki project. He has now taken on Stan's role of leading the maintenance of the 3 huts maintained by NZDA Bay of Plenty on behalf of KRT, but also has a keen interest in maintenance projects on all of the KRT maintained Kaimai huts.

Tony Walton
Tony lives in Auckland and is our secretary and treasurer. He is president of the Auckland Tramping Club and a member of the Federated Mountain Clubs executive committee. He is also responsible for fund raising and maintenance of our website. He regularly organises multi day maintenance work parties for many of the Kaimai tracks

Max McLean
Max is a long term resident and local expert of Dickeys Flat, having been involved in the past with outdoor ediucation training. He helps us to keep up to date with what is happening in the Northern Kaimai.

Peter Williams
Peter lives at Omokoroa and is involved regularly with Kaimai track and hut projects. He is now retired from a lifetime of flying, and for a time was a manager at the Transport Accident Investigation Commission.

Sue lives near Te Aroha and runs the Biking Hiking Shuttles business. She is regularly walking in the Kaimai and is the envy of the rest of us in that from her kitchen window she looks out directly onto the western Kaimai Range !
