Our History - Kaipara Netball

Kaipara Netball has been proudly serving the Kaipara–Helensville community for many years, providing local players with the opportunity to play, develop, and enjoy netball close to home. Based at Rautawhiri Park, our courts are more than just a place to compete — they’re where friendships are formed, families connect, and community spirit shines every Friday and Saturday.

As a volunteer-run centre, Kaipara Netball is built on the dedication of our committee, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and whānau. Many of our players grow up through the grades, with generations of local families returning year after year to be part of the netball community.

We are proud to represent the Kaipara–Helensville region and remain committed to growing the game, supporting our players, and keeping netball thriving in our community for seasons to come. 🏐

Our Kaipara Netball Centre Committee is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers who generously give their time to support the development, organisation and delivery of netball across the Helensville, Norwest and wider Kaipara region.

Their commitment behind the scenes ensures our competitions, programmes, events and representative pathways continue to grow and thrive within our community.

At KNC, community netball doesn’t just happen — it’s powered by passionate volunteers who love the game and believe in bringing people together.

From our Junior leagues to our Adult competitions, for both male and female players, every season takes teamwork on and off the court. And that’s where you come in.
