Scoring App and Game Day Duties – What do I need to know?


Q: How do I set up the Scoring App?

1. Download the App: Download the MyNetball Manager App from the App Store or Google Play.

2. Login : Click on the SIGN IN, select Scorers/Officials and either Register Here for first time users, or Login if you are an existing Sporty user.

3. Score Code: Enter your teams unique 6-digit Team Access Code

4. Score the game: Submit your team sheet and on game day, score the game!

Q: Where do I get my scoring code from?

All scorers codes will be emailed directly from Netball Waitakere based on the managers details included in team registration.  


Q: Do I need to use the Scoring App every game?

Yes, you do as this links all live scores back to help weekly results and draw management.


Q: Who does the scoring?

Each team provides a manager (or delegated adult) to score during the game.


Q: Where do we stand?

Managers from both teams stand together in the centre third, between the two courts. This ensures:

Clear communication

Easy score checking

Consistency between both teams


Q: Do both managers use the app?

Yes – both managers score the game independently using the scoring app.


Q: What if scores don’t match?

Check in at each quarter break

If there’s a discrepancy, discuss and agree on the correct score

If unresolved, confirm with the umpire

Q: What should I be doing while scoring?

Record each goal as it happens

Keep an eye on centre passes (if required by your app)

Stay focused – scoring accuracy is important


Q: Should I watch the whole game?

Yes – you are responsible for accurate, real-time scoring, so avoid distractions.


Before the Game

Q: What do I need to do before the game starts?

Ensure your app is working and logged in

Select the correct game, team, and grade

Confirm with the opposition manager you are both ready


After the Game

Q: What happens at the end of the game?

Confirm the final score with the opposition manager

Ensure both apps reflect the same result

Submit/complete the game in the app


Common Issues

Q: My app isn’t working – what do I do?

Let the opposition manager know immediately

One manager can score temporarily

Notify control room if needed


Q: I missed a goal – what now?

Quickly check with the other manager

Adjust your score to match the agreed total
