The Rising Stars Netball Development Program is designed for Year 7 & 8 netball players who aspire to progress to future representative level. This programme gives young athletes the chance to grow their skills, confidence, and game understanding in a supportive yet competitive environment
Delivered by Kaipara Netball Centre, Rising Stars provides a clear development pathway within our local netball community and prepares players for the demands of representative and secondary school netball.

We equip players with the technical, tactical, physical, and mental skills needed to step confidently into higher levels of netball.
Programme Focus & Objectives
The Rising Stars programme aims to:
Develop strong foundational netball skills in a positive learning environment
Prepare players for the intensity and expectations of Year 9 netball
Provide early exposure to quality coaching and structured training programmes
Build game understanding, positional knowledge, court awareness, and tactical thinking
Encourage teamwork, discipline, commitment, and strong work ethic
Support confidence and growth through competitive festival play
Introduce age-appropriate fitness and movement skills to enhance performance and reduce injury risk
Creating a Positive Player Experience
We are committed to providing a balanced and enjoyable development pathway by:
Fostering fun, connection, and challenge
Celebrating effort, improvement, and growth—not just results
Supporting holistic development (mental, physical, and emotional)
Encouraging balance alongside school and other commitments
Maintaining open, respectful communication with players and caregivers
Commitment & Player Expectations
By registering for the Kaipara Netball Centre Year 7 & 8 Rep Trials, players commit to being part of a fun, competitive team environment.
All selected players are expected to:
Attend all team trainings and festival dates
Show respect to coaches, teammates, opponents, and officials
Demonstrate positive sportsmanship on and off the court
Wear the correct uniform and represent Kaipara Netball Centre with pride
Communicate promptly if unwell, injured, or unable to attend
Strive for personal improvement while uplifting teammates
This is a competitive space where dedication, a positive attitude, and strong work ethic are key.
Player Fees following Team Selection
$140 Player Fee
Must be paid in full prior to the first festival date
Covers coaching, administration, tournament fees, and uniform use
$50 Uniform Bond
Trial Information
📅 Date: Saturday 21st March 2026
📍 Venue: Kaipara Netball Centre, 164 Rautawhiri Park, Helensville
🕘 Player Check-in: 9.00am ⏱️
Trial Time: 9.30am – 12.30pm
