PART ONE – Intro

⏰ 9.00am – 12.00pm

Topics covered include:

  • Year 5 & 6 – 6 v 6 game format

  • Year 7 & 8 – 7 v 7 game format

  • Current Umpire Rule Updates

  • Introduction to Netball Umpiring

  • Practical components

  • Whistle techniques

  • Eye and body positioning

  • Movement around the court (umpiring in pairs)

  • Practice whistle blows and introduction of sanctions

PART TWO β€“ Practical Day

πŸ“… Sunday 19th April 2026

⏰ 9.00am – 1.00pm πŸ“ Year 7 & 8 Pre-Season Tournament

Topics covered include:

  • Year 5 & 6 – 6 v 6 game format

  • Year 7 & 8 – 7 v 7 game format

  • Practical, on-court umpiring experience

Umpires will officiate games during the pre-season tournament with support and feedback from the Umpire Coordinator.

PART THREE β€“ Theory Recap 

πŸ“… Tuesday 19 May 2026 (TBC)⏰ 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Session content includes:

  • Review of Part One

  • Practical components

  • Whistle techniques

  • Eye and body positioning

  • Movement around the court (umpiring in pairs)

  • Practice whistle blows and introduction of sanctions
