**NEW FOR 2025/26** LHAAC Development Pathways - to be updated in August 2026
To help Lower Hutt Amateur Athletics Club (LHAAC) grow in line with other sports clubs in the Wellington region, we are introducing new Development Pathways for the 2025/26 season. This programme goes beyond our regular club nights, providing accessible structured opportunities for athletes (7-14 years) who want to further their skills in either track or throws, to prepare them for interclub and national competitions.
Our aim is to lift interclub attendance to be the most represented club in Wellington.
Why Development Pathways?
While some athletes already access private coaching, we want to make advanced training more accessible and community focused. By offering these opportunities through LHAAC, we aim to:
Provide consistent, holistic athlete development
Strengthen community connections by training under the club umbrella
Create inclusive options for families who may find private coaching difficult to access
Our goal is to ensure every athlete (targeted at 7-14 years) - regardless of background - has the chance to progress, succeed, and enjoy their athletics journey.
