As the countdown to Christmas continues, we must forge ahead with the marketing and planning for our upcoming community Twilight Bowls 3 Five event (previously known as either Business House or Mates in Bowls) due to start on Wednesday evening of January 24^th.

The event is a major source of funds for the club annually and we need to make the most of it. It’s great for the local community, but it is also a wonderful opportunity to expose potential new bowlers to our club.

To get things underway, a bulk email has already been sent to all last year’s teams with a request to re-register, and these are filtering through nicely. 

Each year we have had a steady increase in participants, and this year we want to push the message out further and try for more.  With this in mind, we are in the process of printing A4 posters to put in shop windows and on local notice boards, and we are seeking volunteers to help us get this done.

On top of the initial marketing push, we also need a great team on the ground to make sure the evenings go to plan.  We are asking for helpers to cover off various tasks over the six weeks of this event to make it a success.  A list will be posted in the information room this week for people to put their names on and if you can help in anyway, that will be greatly appreciated. If everyone does a little bit, it makes the workload on others much less and the event a greater success for the club.

Tasks that need assigning are:

• Food Prep and BBQ
• Bar
• Raffles
• Processing the registrations and taking the entry fees
• Greens set up and pack down
• Helpers on the greens
